How do I find someone to play with?

Short answer: in the Lahta Tennis players' chat. It's a private space for club residents and guests — if you want to get on court but don't know who to play with, just post in the chat.

What the chat is for

  • 🎾 finding a partner for singles;
  • 🎾 putting together a doubles pair;
  • 🎾 finding an opponent at your level;
  • 🎾 setting up regular games;
  • 🎾 joining club play sessions and tournaments.

The chat is brand new — and that's your advantage

We've only just launched it, so don't be shy about posting first: the first messages set the tone, and they get the most replies. A few words about yourself — and by tomorrow you could have a regular hitting partner.

A ready-made message — just paste and tweak

Hi everyone! My name is Name. I've been playing for about two years / I'm just starting out / for years and pretty confidently. I'm usually free weekday evenings after 7pm and weekend mornings. Looking for a partner for singles / a doubles pair. Level doesn't matter much — what counts is wanting to play. Message me directly or right here!

Two tips to make it work

  1. Be honest about your level. "Beginner" versus "been playing for 10 years" makes for a dull hour for both. Honesty saves everyone time and finds you an equal opponent.
  2. Name a specific time. "Anyone want to play?" works worse than "Looking for a partner for Thursday at 8pm". Specifics get faster replies.

Agreed on a game? Booking a court takes a minute, and the court cost splits between all the players.
