What tennis actually costs
Tennis has a reputation as an expensive sport — but let's do the honest math.
The "just trying it" option (first month)
- 4 group lessons
- Racket rental is included or costs next to nothing
- Total: comparable to a membership at a mid-range gym
Zero investment in gear: you already own sportswear, and we lend you a racket.
The "training regularly" option
- 4–8 group lessons a month
- Your own racket (a one-time purchase of 6,000–12,000 ₽ that lasts for years)
- Clay-court shoes (4,000–8,000 ₽, good for a season or two)
The "playing with a partner" option
Court rental splits between all the players. An hour of court time for two during the day works out to 900 ₽ per person — cheaper than an hour of bowling. Four players in doubles — half that again.
Where you can save
- Daytime slots on weekdays are noticeably cheaper than evenings.
- Playing in twos or fours splits the court cost.
- Group lessons are cheaper than private ones, and for your first years of progress they're all you need.
Where you shouldn't save
Footwear. It's the one line item where going cheap can cost you an ankle.

The easiest way is to just try
Book a court or sign up for a first lesson — tennis will take care of the rest.
